I'm considering selling my S2000 and have the 100,000 mile warranty. A wholesaler that was trying to beat me up on price tells me he "thinks" the 100K warranty is no good to the next owner that may buy the car.

Anyone know if this is correct? Anyone know how I can find out?

 

Doug- i just bought a '01 used with a 75k warranty... for $50 i transfered it into my name.....but it needed to have the maint records copied and sent in with the transfer..... i just got a letter from honda saying...yep...we transfered it, but..... I cannot ever transfer it or get a refund back from it.....

You may be better off just getting a refund and selling the car without the warranty... the next guy can still get the warranty from the dealer if he chooses.....

Thanks for the info, Scot. I'll try to get the refund, although the wholesaler (from a Honda dealer) also mentioned he was not sure I could get a refund. I'll certainly give it a shot tomorrow and reply to this thread with the results.
