^^^ I was wondering why the NFR had red seats.

Anyway, congrats, OP. You need to drive your car more! I've got almost half the miles you've put on your car, and I haven't even owned it for a year yet!

I love the fact that you haven't moved on to a newer S!

Nice story. I paid 6.5K over MSRP back in OCt 99. My dealer also asked 10K over and I refused. Fortunately, I haven't had any problems with my car. You must drive it like you stole it.

I bought my MY00 off the original owner just this summer. He too, when he found out about the release of the S, pre ordered his in Jan of 99. However, he didn't have to pay anything over retail for his as he gave me the original bill of sale along with at least 10 articles of the car and complete service history. The car only had 18k miles on it when i bought it. It now has around 20k miles as i don't drive it too much myself. I guess the demand for the S here in Canada was not as strong when compared to the US. To the owners of MY00s, what is your serial no? Mine is #220, the 220th S to roll off the assembly line.

good story....i paid under sticker in nov 03, that was for a car that had a large sign in window $4999.00 dealer pak! dealers were still trying to get that $5,000 over sticker when i bought mine, but they were not getting that easily any longer...there is always a story of a better price then you got, or i got,etc...

i drove my car off the show room floor, got my free tank of gas and was off, the salesman took photos which i have someplace...i got a free honda hat as well, which i have lost.

love the car, was in the market for it from early 2003 on, but when i found out about the AP2 coming i waited and gladly have my car now for 7 years and love it.(50k miles)
