I'm thinking about getting the Work S2R wheels in the 17" version. The only thing I'm skeptical about is the fact that the rears are 9" wide. Will this effect anything negatively considering the fronts are 7.5" wide? Oh yeah, don't even bother trying to call RM Racing for the 17" version b/c they told me they don't do special orders on them. I had to call this place called Auto Innovations (I think that was the name of it) at 408-956-8004. Here's the specs if anyone cares:
F: 17x7.5 Offset: 55 Weight: 19 pounds Price: $540/wheel
R: 17x9 Offset: 60 Weight: 20.5 pounds Price: $565/wheel
Recommemded tires are 215/45 & 245/40

Jimmy-
Those wheel sizes and offsets are perfect!
I'd go with the 225/45-17's in frt and 255/40-17 rear though.
Those are the tire sizes intended for the rim widths (7.5 and 9).
Those are also the correct rolling radii to retain gearing and speedo .
Fender clearances will NOT be an issue either way, so have at it!
BTW, I'm running 9.5's w/ 265's and there are at least a couple guys here running 10's w/ 285's and I think one person even has 18x10.5's running 285/30-18's.
So to answer your question, I don't think 9's are too wide.

RT, thanks for giving me input. Do you think if I lower it about 1.3" with Kg/mm dual rate springs I'll have a problem w/rubbing? Hmmm, that's strange, if those tire sizes I posted aren't correct, I wonder why the distributor recommeded those exact tire sizes. I guess when I take the wheels to Discount Tire, I'll know for sure. I'm just worried that the rear wheels being 1.5" wider then the fronts would be a problem, but I guess not. Thanks again!
