Occasionally I feel as if I'm releasing the clutch too quickly before engaging a gear (almost as if the gate is closing), especially in 2nd and 3rd. I'm not new to a manual so I don't think it's entirely poor shift technique. Is my problem in any way related to the clutch issue in this thread?

 

The last time I tried putting the clutch in, hot green fluid sprayed all over me, giving me 2nd-degree burns on both my arms.
