2000 or 2001 ? PLEASE HELP ME DECIDE !
yidal8,
First, there are no SIGNIFICANT differences between the 2000 and 2001 models - except maybe the free windblocker.
Second, I agree with the comments of others that technical fixes will be implemented as production line changes and NOT held back just for a new model release
Third, if I was buying a new vehicle I don't think I would give two hoots about what anybody else says - I would already have made up my own mind.
Let us all know which way you go

Get the 2000. If it has any tranny problems the dealer will have to fix it as per TSB #55. You might check the build date on the'00 by looking inside the driver's door jamb just to help you decide; you may already have the improved tranny. Take the $1500 you saved and get the good three-piece mats and Rick's improved windblocker. You can also get Rick's leather goodies and still wind up with money in your pocket.
I'd get the 2000. For the price difference, you can go through four sets of rear tires!
Seriously, if you were to keep the car for a VERY long time (say 20-30 years), IMHO the 2000 model year would be more valuable.
