John, Having driven innumerable S2000's by now, I can tell you that your "notchiness" of the transmission is FAR from the norm. I'd take to the dealer sooner than later and get their take on it. At least that way it's documented and you can show history if you have any problems. John, you know who to call to get quality work done...

This goes, too, for ANYONE: If you THINK you're having a problem, take it to the dealer and have it documented to your service record. This is imperative to legal argument and to showing a pattern if you need warranty work that they are reluctant to do! I learned this the hard way with a lemon law battle... it's ALWAYS better to have it documented!

Moneeb, look at the sticker on the inside of the drivers door panel. It will specify a month and year there.

hmm...mine is '01 with last four #s of vin being 1974 (coincidentally the year of my birth) does that # signify the order in which the car was built?

Yes, at least for the specific country your S2K was sold in.

I'm #111 in Canada for 2001, but where that is in the greater order, I don't know.

Is there an expiry date for TSB-054? That is, what if it takes me a good two years to melt this clutch?

Hey Silver, my car was born on 12/00 and my VIN # is 2190. My car seems like it is one of those really early built 2000 models sold as 2001. My dealer told me to come back later after putting more mileage into my car. Also, can I have TSB or other work that is covered under warranty done at Honda dealers other than the one where you bought it from??? I am planning on not going to my previous dealer as they seem to damage my car everytime I take my car in. Silver, you mentioned about Northwest Honda as being one of the best dealers....That is the one located near Towson, right???? Thanks!!!!

Got the noise almost right at 4k. Clutch petal, on hard acceleration (think s2k Ashville days), as a definite vibration. Will mention when I go in for my first free oil change.

I'll get everything redone at just over 30,000 miles, I'm going to have fun with it until that time .
