2002 clutch replacement under warranty?
I just want to know if any 2002 owners has had there clutch replaced under warranty because it was slipping or not grabbing to well. Only reason I am asking this question is because ever since my car was new (2002), I could never chirp second in my car, then last night I drove my friends 2003 and I easly chirped 2 gear, shifting at redline. Then I went back into my car and tried and nothing. Both of our cars have similar milege, mine is 7k and my friends is 6k miles. Both of our tires were warm and I tested the cars on the same street.

There is a TSB for the older cars ('00 & '01 I think) for this "clutch buzz".
This is when you are decelerating (in gear) through about 4000 - 2000 rpm. You will hear (and sometimes feel through the clutch pedal) a buzzing or rattle. The tranny sets up this harmonic vibration that transfers to the springs in the clutch disc. These springs are what makes the rattling noise.
Although '02 and newer were not issued this TSB, some dealers have done the "goodwill" change anyways if you can demonstrate this buzz.

I just got my car back from the dealership the other day. Got 3rd and 4th gears replaced yet again......and they went ahead and replaced the clutch under warranty as well. It seemed to be gripping just fine, had no complaints about it at all, but when they pulled the tranny, the pressure plate side of the disk was hitting the rivets. Dang car only has 17,000 miles on it too. I guess I need to start driving a little less agressively........
