It is now the year 2005. I think it's safe to now say that your local dealer was so full of sh!t, their eyes must be brown. Please take this opportunity to go back there and tell them to stick up their ........................... S's.

We keep getting gullible people constantly posting up "last year" crap. I've collected them for quite some time now. It's time to do a little
Maybe people will think twice in future before they run rampant through the streets crying "The sky is falling".

Nope, it wasn't you. I was inspired by the guy who posted another one of those "2 salesmen at the dealer today said ............... "
I had all these threads bookmarked and it was a shame to leave them all in the archives taking up cyber space.
Just having a little fun. People got so offended when they posted stuff like this and others didn't believe them. Just a little excercise in "humility".
Sure, post up "This is the last year" threads. However, don't get into a PMS fit when others come back with disbelief.

What seems to be ignored is Honda's statement about the honda from day 1.

"honda will continue to produce the S2000 as long as people are buying them".

What a novel and brilliant marketing plan! Produce a product and keep selling it as long as there is consumer demand and you are making profits from it.

For the past few years, even the people at my local dealership have stated that 200x is going to be the last year. One of their mechanics still owes me a beer from when the 2005s were released.

I'm not sure what your sarcasm is for. Care to explain?

I apologize - my post did not convey my intended sentiment.

I was attempting to amplify your observation and suggest that you are spot on with your point. I think quite a few others don't get it, and my sarcasm was aimed in their direction. There is no reason for Honda to stop producing the S2000 until the market no longer supports it.
