i noticed. i looked because the knob on the left looks like it should turn rather than just be a button. I wondered why honda would do such a stupid thing, then noticed the symmetry.

Just noticed this the other day myself. I guess this is why they made that audio control button 5 times as big as it needs to be.
Personally I think that button looks a bit cheesy, but the overall symmetry is nice...

You are more perceptive than I. You are correct, I am a lefty. This makes me very aware of the left and right side of things.
Keep me away from chain saws.........they are only right handed.
I think it's symmetric so they can mold one piece for both left hand drive and right hand drive (?)
I've never missed a shift in my car, but I HAVE bumped the heater knob and changed it's setting by suprise 2 or 3 times. wished the controls were on opposite sides!
