2002 S2000
Hey Guys and Gals,
First of all I'm in the market for a S2000 (Australia BTW) and secondly what a great forum. It is fantastic to see all of you guys so enthusiastic about your cars.
Anywhoo I'm currently looking to buy a 2002 with 22,500km on the clock, $54,000AU, silverstone with full red leather interior. There are just a few things im curious about and need your expert advise. On the left side of the car the S2000 badge seems to be the wrong way around, 2000 S instead of S2000, the rear bar is slighty sagging, the dealer said the is a common problem as the clips overtime bend but will fix no problem if i buy it and last but not least the gear stick is slighty worn, is this normal for a car with 22,500km on the clock. Call me a bit 'over the top' but i want to know if these a normal problems/situations with these great cars.
Your advise will be very appreciated and thanks in advance and i hope it will be mine by the end of next week if all goes well.

there is no reson that the badge reads 2000S exept that the fender has been painted
maybe due to an accident...check the car and ask if it has been in a serious accident
hopefully youll own this awesome car
good luck

It looks kind of obvious that someone who didn't know what they were doing put that badge on backwards. The question now is, why? If you're looking to buy, I'd be careful about whether this car was wrecked or not. Not sure what buyer-protection laws are like down under, but in the US, dealers have to disclose if a car's been wrecked. Have you asked? In the least, I'd have the badge put on correctly before I bought that car.

Yeah i did ask and they said no. I really love this colour combo. I hope it was just a mistake. I checked all the paint on each panel and they all look the same and also the shut lines look perfect. Briefly looked underneath for any obvious damage but there was none.
