I have confirmation from Honda Corporate (know a guy who works in that side of the business) regarding 2002 model. First of all, this should be the last year of production.

Here are some mods from previous years. I think Honda has been listening to all of because the mods are exactly what we have been asking for.

- Convertible top will have GLASS back AND it will be double lined. This means no hassle with plastic and the top will be much more solid and quiet. They don't have a retro fit kit for 2000 and 2001 models, but who knows maybe somebody will figure it out.

- Engine will be boosted from 240hp to something higher. Wouldn't that be nice.

- MSRP price will be 4K to 5K higher than previous years.

Apparently, you can already place orders (or be on waiting list) for the 2002. There are few more mods but I don't know the specifics. As soon as I can weasle the info out, I will post.

My friends bigger then your friend (). Glass r4ear window and a modification to the taillights. Wether it will be exported is still in the main office. Too many other "last year" promises from the dealers and regional.....Honda may not want to go there.....

 

I guess my friend placing his name down at the dealer in the US for a 2002 model year doesn't count

It is a fact that the car will be imported for MY 2002. It is a fact that a new blue color will be offered. It is a fact that my beautiful silverstone metallic will no longer be offered. It is a fact that in lieu of the silverstone, a different, reportedly lighter silver will be offered.

Everything else, and yes, I mean everything else is conjecture, rumor, speculation, lies, decieit, communist plots, brainwashing material, and/or outright bullcrap.

I mean no offense to the original poster because I think he was trying to do something cool by offering us some information. That said, my patience with this kind of posting is nearly gone.
