2002 S2000 Will Be Available
dlee,
As mentioned earlier, I'm sure your intent was to pass along information you believed to be true and accurate. Thanks. However, it has been proven over and over again and reported on this site over and over again that dealer's are generally the last to know what is going on and more importantly they LIE a lot, or continue to spread flase information a lot.
One example: Greg Stevens and several other S2000 club officers recently made a personal visit to the Honda factory where the S2000 is built and they received "first hand" information that Honda anticipates a 10-year production plan for our little car. Dealer's either don't know this yet (possible) or don't want to hear it (makes the car less rare and possible sales loss). In any case, the hundred dealers that said it was a 2-year run will like be wrong!
As for the glass window; while they could not publicly announce it in advance, they implied they were addressing in up-coming models. And, I would agree a retro-fit is VERY unlikely.
Don't let the cheap shots taken by some members turn you off.
Dave

David,
The Stag is very rare in the USA as it was only imported for 2-years. It was similar in looks to a Triumph TR-6 except it had a 3000cc V-8 aluminum engine, a built in roll-bar, 5-speed, leather seats, etc. and a small back seat (for small children). It was a love-hate car. When it was problem free it was fabulous; however, the V-8 engine was underdeveloped at launch and cooling problems plus general unreliability earned it a bad (and deserved) reputation. My first, and hopefully last, implus purchase. I wanted a Porsche Targa 911 coupe at the time but was unable to finalize the deal. The target market for the Stag was the M-Benz sportscar - quess who won.
