yeah, i've heard it's going to have a glass window too...
it's going to be 2 pieces hinged together so that it can fold up when the top goes down.

i guess the people at honda HAVE been listening to us...

Han.

So if I read this right it seems we (USA) will not loose the Spa Yellow we will just gain the lighter silver and the blue?

I've not heard of a re-design for 2003 - interesting, something I need to look into!

I've been planning for the 2002 Spa Yellow hardtop as a new purchase. Now I have to contemplate a beautifully used 2000 Silver with Red Interior and then trade it for a 2004?????

I know that the glass window debate has been going around for a while. If you look at how the window/top folds, it would be extremely difficult to put even a folding glass window in the top without seriously reducing the area of the window. If the window was glass and anywhere near the same size that it is now, Honda would have to substantially change the styling and the folding top mechanism design to make it work.

If it's folding glass, that fold will be right in line-of-site of the rear-view mirror. No thanks.

Go for the Silver and red. By far the best color combination. Looks great from every angle. (Silverstone is discontinued so will go from the most common to the least in a year or two)

Actually I heard that for 2002 MY, the S2000 will no longer be a convertable, it will be a coupe. That's why it will have a glass rear window.

Maybe the wizards at Honda have cooked up flexible glass?

Actually.. here's the real deal. For 2002 the S2000 will be a hardtop convertible, but still retain the wonderful plastic rear window. Hey if the $90,000 Mercedes SL can have a plastic rear window, then i say it's good enough for us in a $32,000 Honda S2000, that's just my opinion
