2002 stook price and locations
i heard that some dealer still do the mark up on the 2002. i'm just checking if other honda dealers around the country sell it at msrp or a mark up.
i went to the dealer and and the salesman say 32,840 for the 2002 from the start and need a deposit(refundable deposit) and then later, out of the blue another salesman came and said it was $2000 mark-up. what an idiot!
anyway the priced is @ $32,840 msrp(need deposit)
in el monte, Ca (25 minutes from los angeles) Nelson Honda dealership.
all replys are welcome

vanowen,
This may not be totally true, but from just reading the posts of the past on this it seems that Calif. is a bad place to try to get an MSRP deal. I had no problem getting MSRP on the car from at least 5 area dealers I talked to. The dealership I ended up with is the one that could get me the car the quickest! (This is for the 2002 of course) As I've already mentioned in another post, have my VIN#-0041-and was told COULD BE available next week!!

.. I have already been promised MSRP on my '02, but to satisfy my cravings , I have been test driving on my day off. Today I drove a yellow '01, they wanted $33,400. The price for the "02 was going to be $36,995 FIRM. I know they will have to come off that price.
BTW, the last three dealerships I have test driven, ( I've got it bad, don't I) when I walked in and told them I wanted to buy an S2000, each time they gave me a salesperson with less than 2 weeks experience. If I owned a dealership, I would want my most experienced people on such a high ticket sale. Oh,well, when they're young, you can really abuse them.
...The more I drive this car the more I want it!!
