They change their name frequently, used to be Southern California Auto Sales, search the SoCal forum for horror stories.
This. Just don't do it. They are not good people.

And 05 and earlier S2000s don't have traction control. If you're driving it hard or in low traction conditions (rain/ice/snow), you better be ready to catch it as soon as the back snaps around.

I just had this happen to me. Was driving from a stop light on a perfectly straight road and a lot water on the street from the sprinklers being on made it really easy to hydroplane. Luckily nobody else was on the road and there wasn't any body damage. Going to be much more careful now about just opening her up, especially in low traction conditions.

These guys are really that bad?

I guess I have to keep searching.

Anybody with suggestions as to where I can find an AP1 in So Cal?

I would prefer 2003, bone stock, under 100K miles around 10K.

I will rely on patience as my reward.

Craigslist is a pretty good place to check plus the prices are a bit cheaper if you buy from a owner versus a dealer. Just do the checkup and see that everything is in order and you should be okay. Good luck on your search!

similar thing happened to me after owning the S for about a month. got lucky as no one was around but it scared the crap out of me and made me respect the car properly. a month later i was at an autox event improving my handling skills. yet a month later and i got into a similar spin going much faster around a more dangerous turn but was able to handle the car very well. scared the crap out of me once again but it showed what i learned (and did not learn )

my 07 has VSA...and it has saved my butt a time or two. I'll turn it off on the track, but leave it on on the street.

Pretty much. I didn't do my research and thought it would have Traction Control and wanted to see it in action.
