Do I need to reset the ECU or will driving alone cause it to relearn new parameters? In other words, is the ECU continuously learning or does it stop after it takes a set?

After I installed my Comptech icebox and reset the ECU I also felt what seemed to be a loss of power. After a few days it was much better...

Once you install a new intake to your car it will take a little while for the ECU to figure out what to do with the extra air.
Try resetting the ECU. Disconnect the neg side of the battery for 30-60 seconds. Then reconnect. Take the car for a least a 1/2hour drive afterwards, this will help the ECU to start fresh and to let it adjust for the extra air the engine is now taking on.

I hope this helps, and yes I do have a Comptech, so I'm speaking from experience.

Cheers

I had small amount of gains, however I really noticed the difference in the trottle response, it was much better. Did you reset the ECU yet and then take it for a good run? Because honestly it sounds like something is wrong?

Interesting post. I'll keep that in mind if I decide to get the comptech airbox. Just wondering, How much did you guys pay for it?
