04s are reliable.

 

I actually had a chance to speak with the former owner before buying, and he said he took good care of it and never beat it - he just took the corners quick . He only drove it in the summer, and the only cosmetic damage is a scratch in the rear bumper. Other than that it looks like new, including the engine bay - that thing is so clean, I love it.

The actual warranty is through a separate company called Zurich, and it would be bumper to bumper 5yr/60,000. I asked the dealer if modifications voided the warrenty and he said no, however I don't think I'd believe him unless I saw it in writing.
