Better mileage??? I haven't seen too many here complain about the need to increase mileage. I VTEC a lot and get very good mileage for this type of car.

Whatever. I am not likely to trade mine in anyways. I have been told no one likes yellow around here so it will be hard to sell.

More leg room...better mileage!?! The next thing I expect to hear about the new "S2000" (which should have been named S2200...stupid AHM) is that Honda will offer it an automatic tranny option.

Let me clarify, The way I understand it is they are changing the gear ratio to compinsate for the increased displacement. It will probably have similar gas mileage, and the displacement bump is to increase torque. Trust me, they are not softening this car up, if they did I will be one VERY dissapointed fan of this car!!! Basically they are changing the door panel and lower dash to allow more people to be able to enjoy this car.

Out of curiosity do you know when(approx) the 2004 S2000 would actually be manufactured.

Do these vehicles sit around for several months before they are shipped to the US.

They will probably start in July or August, maybe even this month.

Actually what I was getting at was some sort of a point-of-no-return date where we might get the final engineering specs on the 2004 model?

I feel the same way. i just need some definitive information on the specs and possibly pictures of the interior. I don't care much for the rims, but I would like to know of any suspension updates. I am starting to feel like my wait is for a hype.

I am all for change, as long as it is a change for the better. Increasing the amount of room in the car to me will take away from the formula feel of the cockpit. I love my s2k fitting like a glove around my 6'3" frame. It actually has made me become more aware of my diet. Maybe these changes are a commentary
on our state of health. You don't see many overweight proffesional race car drivers. Just some low- cal food for thought
