Neal, any idea if the new front end will come with foglights? Then the question becomes how long will it take for someone to fit them to a current car!

Honda never puts fog lights on standard. They need to let the parts/service dept make some money

From the looks of it the S will be called the S2000(according to the 04' color chart). That's good news because we would have to much trouble deciding what to call this website. WWW.s22ki.com?????

Still digital dash? With other Honda products the changes they make are evolutionary and minor in nature, perhaps they will only make a good thing better? What we may want and what they deem doable maybe be different things, remember this car has to appeal to a wide audience all over the world... sizes and shapes,etc...and still retain its' unique position/character...no small task.

The competative nature of the business , what has come out in the past 4 years, and what is coming out in this price sector...all demand evolution, refreshening, change. That is the only constant in life, change.

I'm counting on Rick Hessel to make all the upgrades for the 2Litre to look like the 2.2Litre. I'm sure he'll offer a new instrument cluster and other distinctive accessories, right Rick?

Since the passenger's side glove compartment project is reportedly dead, I wonder if the '04 has one and if its lower dash piece could be retrofitted or adapted to earlier model S2000's.

Also, are there (1) still plans to change the rear lamp lenses? (2) any plans to go to bi-xenon HID's? (3) a subwoofer kit that will fit my '03?

Any idea on pricing? 10% more expensive as well? Or same price? Also, how certain is your District Manager? That is to say, how is it that he has the inside scoop?

I'm planning on buying a brand new 2.0L '03 by the 4th of July (Independence Day-- too perfect), but if the 2.2L really is coming out soon, does anyone think that the prices on the current 2.0L cars are going to drop dramatically? And when? If the 2.2L retails for $33K, then yes, no doubt. If it retails for $37K+, then probably not, or not by much.

I'd hate to pay close to $33K on a car in July, only to have it selling for significantly less just a few months down the road. Or would it? The dealers paid $29K for each car, would they sell them at a loss when demands drops off in anticipation of the "improved" 2.2L? Does anybody know of any examples of this in prior years and models? Like what happened to "old-style" NSXs when the newer NSXs came out?

Personally, I wouldn't buy a 2004 2.2L anyway. With a new motor, I'd expect a couple of years and minor recalls to fix the various little problems that will crop up with any major change in an automobile. (I'd strongly consider an '06 model for sure though.) Ideally, I'd buy an '03 2.0L model the day the dealerships get the 2.2L model in their showrooms, but there's no way I could wait until October to buy my S2K. I just hope the prices start dropping... and soon.
