2004 S2k DRIVESHAFT PROB.!
Since there have been two incidents now of a wheel being torn off the hub on the race track, maybe there is reason to believe there is "something" going on.
I know that in both instances, the cars were driving on 18" slicks which added to the strain on the hubs and i dont really know how these spacers would have effected the situation if at all, but those two cars def get pushed, and pushed HARD.
I guess what i m asking, is it possible that these half shaft spacers can relieve some of that stress off of the hub?

Basically, when a car is lowered past the stock tolerences the drive shafts are at a cocked angle not deemed OEM spec. When normal wear and tear occurs the driveshaft is allowed certain amount of travel. WHen the car is in a lowered state say 1.5" past its stock marks the driveshafts are at a more agressive angle. When a driveshaft isnt aligned to stock specs it will be more prone to damage. The Js axle extenders help reduce the angle. Simple solution, everyone who owns an RC buggy or truck, take the springs out and see how bad the drive shafts line up with the diff.. they are at the state where they are forced into the diff even more increasing its stress. Remember RC cars use Dog bone joints where the driveshaft isnt bolted to the axle...
Js isnt the APC of japan, they build it for racing. no for ricing... Tuners like Js/Amuse/Mugen/Spoon arent in it for the whole aftermarket tuning for us guys, these parts are meant for their racing as a primary reason why they are even made.
I will post pictures of my person VW, not an S2000 i know- but with axle failure, the dealer can only see a relevancy with this problem to the car being lowered to much.

Brandon, I can def agree with what your saying. My first Honda, an accord, had a tranny failure beacuse of this exact issue. That car, like your VW though, are FWD where the axles bolt into the tranny.
SO are the axle spacers suppossed to reduce stress on the diff?
I wonder if we can log all the busted diffs on the board and see how many of them were lowered.

I think the problem they are trying to remedy is with the axel/cv failing not the diff. I think most everyone who has had a lowered car for a long period of time has had a cv/axel problem.
