" I use Modifry's shift buzzer. I've set it for 8900 rpm on my '03" I guess the 05 does not rev as high. With my shift light with a built in tach installed it seems the rev limiter kicks in at 8200 though the stock tach indicates up tp 9k. I set the shift light for 7800. Can anyone validate the lower rev limit on the 05s and what you are shifting at when at the track.

PS...Daily drivers whatRPM's do you shift at?

You're kidding, right? In case you're not, Honda increased the displacement on '04s and up from 2.0L to 2.2L by increasing the stroke. To counter the longer stroke, they also reduced the redline by about 1000 rpm. (I thought everyone knew this. )

You have redlined your car after 4 days!

What happened to the breakin period? Cant you screw the engine up by revving it that early, as the pistons havent had time to set themselves?
