This is Honda's official press website for all of their products. Based on the dates of their past releases, it looks like a Sept/Oct timeframe is generally when it becomes 'gospel'. However, it seems like there are pretty reliable rumours by July/August.

Honda would be wise to discontinue the S2000 IMO

and start building some exciting cars and not so many SUV's and trucks

I can almost say for sure that there will be an 06. Think about it if 05 was the last year Honda would let everybody know so who ever want one would pay the full asking price $33K- ... I see in my local newspaper Honda dealer offer brand new 05 for $30,150

So I guess that means 2005 is cancelled.

I think xviper had a post where he listed all the threads that had the 'end of s2000' topics... Every year had one...

Also... If a salesman has to lie to get a sale, then he probably will.
