2006 STI or 2005 S2k
[FONT=Arial][FONT=Arial][FONT=Arial]Hi im new to the forum and was wondering about these two cars. I have currently a 2004 wrx impreza and im going to change cars. im stuck in between the sti and the s2000. im more about handling and responsiveness, and i like the whole top down thing not to mention i think the dynamics of the s2k make for a better handling car.
im aware of the STI but i wonder how do u guys like ur s2k's and what makes them so appealing to you guys, and has anyone ever been in the shoes im in right now. As in choosing between sti and s2k.

i thought about but to me a fast car has to have hot looks and the STI is well a 4 door car boxy kind of car. If you want pure performance and don't care about looks its the STI. A very cool car but lacking in looks and then theres the convert factor.......i can't wait to go top down in a few m in

but i like to push my car to the limits. as so all you do im hoping. and im always up in the canyons with my rex and my brothers new evo. my buddy has a 350Z. im pretty sure u guys kno him he is always on this forum. his name is sakred, however how is the stook in handling. will i be able to give these guys a run for there money or what?
I'd say it depends on your location. S2K's advantage is the open top (which is good when the air is above 60 F and there's no rain), and STi's advantage is AWD (which is good when you have ice and snow on the ground). Which one happens more frequently for you?
I was in the exact same position you are, I couldn't decide between an STi and the S2K. I liked the fact that the STi was boosted, AWD, and looks sharp. The S2K has the convertable, 9K redline, and looks dead sexy.
It simply came down to price difference for me. Also consider cost of repair on both cars. I have a few friends with Subaru's of all kinds and they aren't cheap to fix. The S was much more affordable for me than the STi. That being said I am VERY happy with my decision. I knew going either way I would be happy.
Which ever car you decide on you will not be disapointed that's for sure.
Goodluck
