Actually I shouldn't say that I haven't test driven a 04+ yet...I just love 9k and the look of the original dash
...anyways, off subject...had a few drinks
theres only one thing that an sti has over an s2000 and thats speed....s2k is funner, MUCH better looking inside and out, the S has a convertible, its very reliable...and its not a ricer car liek the sti. lol overall the S is the way to go
please get the s2k!
you will NOT regret your dicision if you are looking for a sweet handaling car
plus you will love the top down drives in this car
i give this car 11 out of ten in the fun to drive factor
good luck!

Traded my 2004 STi for now my 2001 S2000. Why? Cheaper payments, better gas mileage, convertible, very direct steering/brakes/handling. Honestly, the only thing I miss about the STi is boost, but that can be taken care of
Non-adjustable steering sucks because I'm a big guy and the steering wheel hits the top of my legs and makes it very hard to steer quickly. I have to puch myself back a little bit via the dead pedal in order to free up some space. I'll be getting a smaller, flat-bottomed steering wheel very soon to compensate.
