Default 2007, 2008 Civic Si performance vs my AP1?

The latest iteration I beleive has 197hp and uses a 2.0l engine. I was wondering how it compares with my AP1 s2000 in terms of 0-60 1/4mile, my friend just got a new one and was asking me which is a quicker car off the line to around 100mph or so, any idea?

S2k of of course more Hp and same weight as the Si.

197hp is like the S2k WHP so the Si probably like 160whp something.

Si 0-60 like around 7sec and S2k around 6 sec. so depend on driver.
but for sure S2k.

i think the Si has about 185-190 whp actually

i had an 06 Si at the same time that i had my AP1 as well. the Si feels a lot quicker than it actually is. it is slower than your AP1 all around, but if you don't drive well and the Si driver does, there is a chance he can beat you. 0-60 it's about 6.4 seconds and 1/4 mile i think low 15s (??)

their performance can come close and possibly surpass that of a stock S2000 with simple bolt-ons and a tune, though.

Seems like a race is in order...

kids these days. You two get cars and wonder who has the fastest by going to the internet and asking people???

Next thing you know, people are going to choose their life mates on the inter.... opps, never mind.

Before the Internet there were both car magazines and mail order brides; The more things change, the more they stay the same.

Do you think the new Civic Si will be competative in A Stock autocrossing?

^^it was in the "America's Best Handling Car" shootout. if you read it you might be able to make a good decision from there. i can't remember if it was Motor Trend, Car & Driver, or Road & Track that did the comparison. but it was huge and included 10 competitors.

um the civic si has 197hp to the motor, so im pretty sure the whp is about 165?

stock for stock the s2k will beat the civic si. but those k-series respond well to bolt ons, so i think the SI with intake, exhaust, header, and k-series reflash itll probably beat the s2k.

im pretty sure those new accords will probably beat the s2k stock for stock though.

i found it here and a few other places. i'm guessing FWD cars' wheel hp is a bigger percentage of the motor hp since it has to go through less translation to make it to the driving wheels?

I seem to recall FWD loss to be approx 12-15% while RWD is 15-20.

Or something like that.
