2007, 2008 Civic Si performance vs my AP1?
Who cares... It's still a friggin civic with an interior straight from the moon
I took one look at the new Si sedan (I have 3 kids, and it is the logical choice) and that was all it took. There is no way I could get used to that A-pillar, the controls, and the base of the windshield must be nearly 5 feet from my face. The seats feel like they strateched sweatpants over foam, etc... cheap-cheap-cheap and FUGLY!
So the kids have to ride one at a time in the S2k, but i'm smilin all the time!
The Si is easily modded for more power, but... it is still a civic. S2K no regrets!

You guys are forgetting that the new cars are all rated with the new SAE Horsepower standard, thats how the dyno ratings could be a little bit higher than expected for a 197 crank hp car because the 197 is a little bit underrated compared to the old horsepower ratings. Its probably closer to 206hp, which with a 10-15% drivetrain loss would put it within 175-185whp depending on the dyno and conditions etc.
Not sure about the bone stock Si with 200whp, could also be underrated or a factory freak. We've also seen AP2 S2000s run 240whp (see vtec.net) so its possible that the dyno is reading incorrectly.

The day a FWD car is as much fun to drive as a RWD car is the day I'll consider comparing cars like a Civic and an S2000. Isn't this like comparing apples and catapaults?

Have you driven one? I drove the coupe and it's very fun not only for a FWD, but for any car. More fun than driving a G35c, but definitely not more fun than an S2000.
FWIW, to me, the CRX Si and Prelude Si we owned back in the 80's were more fun to drive than *most* of the Nissan and Toyota cars I've driven.
