They stiffened the dampers a bit from 07 to 08. Not as stiff as the CR, but stiffer than 07.

I think it's like 30% but dont quote me on that

edit: oh yea, in 08 they got rid of the "rainbow" gauges for the temp and fuel. It's now one big arch where the temp and fuel gauge line up with the tachrometer.

What are the differences between the MY2007 and MY2008 S2000s? I am thinking of updating my 05 to a newer car while they still make them - and to get VSA. I started in a slightly used NFR 01 and traded it for the new 05 NFR and would probably get an 08 or maybe 07 NFR.

From the Honda page they changed the wheels (again), but other than that I can't tell much has changed.

Thanks,
Dennis
if you are looking for 08,
be advise that windshiled frame is no longer taped with black tape.
it's all body colored exception of CR

if money wasn't an issue, i'd get 07 nfr and get all the parts from 08 cr and make type-s.

i almost got a deal with my dealer back in 06,
they were willing to fulfill my request by swaping interior parts from another s.
i wanted red with re/black combo interior.
however, we never got to agree on the price.

if any dealer offered me 07 nfr with all the cr parts+hardtop for cr price, i'd take it
however, no one will offer that

guys (and gals), 27.5 K for an 07 bought two weeks ago. sales for the s2000 must be worse than u would think .... my car was sitting in the dealers showroom for 11 (!!!!) months (build in Nov 06, PDI'd in JAN 06). i thought i had a real bargain, but i'd expect the prices to come down even further. dealer has one more (black on black) sitting on the lot. this is bay area, btw.

The southern regions get more S2000s to sell since the convertable makes sense there. They also get $1000 more rebate from honda to get rid of the cars than the northern regions. So people in florida and cali could get the car for low $28k with little dickering. Up in the northern regions the dealers stopped at low $29k. It really pissed me off being in a northern region.

Back in late October when the 08's were first hitting, my local (small) Honda dealer offered me a brand-new 08 for $3,000 under MSRP ($31,4XX), or a CR for MSRP (they would have had to order it).

I ended up liking the 07 a bit better, and got it for under $29k OTD
