Default 2008 S2000 Price

I just got an email from one of my local Honda dealers. They always include coupons for service and things like that. But they also advertised some of their prices and listed a 2008 S2000 for only $30,494! I wonder if they are willing to advertise a price like this below MSRP what they could be bargained down to...

What have you guys with 08's (any of you out there yet?) paid?

Well I ordered mine 2 weeks ago, delivery expected the second week of January, I live in a country where registration taxes for vehicles amount to 65% of the cost of vehicle, in USD I paid, 56,405. Bless my country!!

2008 S2000 CR w/ A/C & Stereo
#37,695. After taxes, licensing and lojack it came to around $42,000.

Dealer wouldn't budge from MSRP. Trust me, I tried...

That's really weird. My 07 brand new was listed at $34,250, which was the same as every other dealer selling the 07 as new.

likely not going any lower than that.... just watch for the extras (delivery, destination, prep, etc)

Now that's crazy.

Why wouldn't you just go to another dealer? They took full advantage of you I think.

It might just be an in-the-door price - once you show up you find that one "sold", but anidentical one for $34k, that they'll let go for a little less.

Of course, my local dealer has an 07 now that they are trying to get out the door for $29k T&TL, so who knows.

He bought a CR. CRs are new. They are "in demand" now. Wait until the end of summer and you will see big doscounts on them - assuming there are any for sale - maybe they'll be hot sellers...
