Default 2008 S2K Production Down?

Does anyone have production numbers for the 2008 S2000?

Yep, I don't know what the norm is for S2000 inventory but, I'm mid way between New York and Boston in CT. An Autotrader search in late April only found about 24 new 08's within 100 miles. I bought mine in early May and my dealer had none in stock. They had to go as far as Boston to trade for the car I wanted. I would bet that fewer than 5,000 units were shipped to the US in 08 based on sales volumes the past few years.

And with the low numbers being brought in they are still offering excellent deals... Hope this holds true for 09 when I trade my 06 in.

My dealer will not even get one unless they have a deposit put down on one.....and this is a dealership that does 200-300 cars a month

i'm quite satisfied with my 07... i've almost come to terms that my suspension is not as good as the 08...

i do agree though, i think theres less 08's floating around

I work for the highest volume dealership in TX and we've got 3 last time I checked. Its rare they order any too. I bet before the end of the year they'll order maybe 3 more. Most sit on the lot for 100+ days.

After shopping around for nearly a month I can tell you that in the NJ Tri-state area the S is scarce. Many dealers made no attempt to find an S2000. I guess they're too busy selling Civics.

I found my 08 Laguna Blue on a showroom floor 90 miles from home ! The other was in Philly.

It was worth the effort as I absolutely love the color !

Yeah, we haven't gotten as much here either....just not that much interest.

On the other hand, we have been trying to stock in preowned ones...I guess there is more of a market for those
