270hp in 04' S2000!!!
According to the Temple of Vtec 2004 S2000 test reviews, it dyno's at 243whp, and 265-270hp @ the crank. If this is true that is amazing. They say it is due to the larger and updated engine, as well as leaner air/fuel ratios that lead to more power. And it's Dynopack hp, which is usually 10-15hp more than a Dynojet. Any car dyno'd on a Dynopack would dyno more than it would on a Dynojet. I don't doubt the '04s make a little more power and definitely more of it at a lower RPM, but I don't think they make 270hp at the crank. Probably 250ish.

stop looking at numbers and what people say. if a guy owns a 04 of course he will say 04 is the best or he likes it better than 03. Same goes for 03 owner and say 03 is better than 04.
so on, so on.
if you can, go test drive 04 and 03 and see which you like better and then compare the looks, Prices, and decide from there.
that is best advice i can give you.

thanks for the advice bro, but the thing is i have test drove both cars, and i like the engine and transmission of the 03 better, but i like the looks of the 2004 a lot better both on the outside and the inside, money is not a factor either

OK, I can see why some people might prefer the 2.0 motor, but why do you say you like the '03 tranny better?

Hmmm... I have my suspicions. The rolling road may have been incorrectly set-up. 5-10 hp out, maybe... but 30? I doubt it!
