Not sure how it works in your state, but I just went into court for a speeding ticket to cut a deal with the prosecutor in order to get the points lowered from 4 to 2.

They did lower the points, but the fines go up, what was an $95 speeding ticket ended up costing my $240 in penalities and fines. Still cheaper than the 2 pts on my liscense, but if you're already looking at a $200+ ticket and that in turn goes up, you might want to think if it is really going to save you money.

I feel less targeted in my S2000 than my Integra. I think mostly due to the car color and probably the quiter exhaust on my S2000 than my Integra too.

S2000 (stock appearance)= Berlina Black
Integra (Modified, lowered, intake and exhaust) = Milano Red

Well being a young 22 year old black male, I think to a degree the cop wasn't going to be doing me any favors. He just was EXTRA chippy with me. Mind you he saw what happened, I was struggling to pass that truck who was doing 80mph himself. Everytime I think about the ticket my blood boils at how this officer treated me and the situation. I'd rather not get into specifics except I'm ABSOLUTELY fighting the ticket with the hopes of seeing this fool in court so I can say what I really want to say about him since I held my tongue that night.

For me I have noticed a marked increase in attention from cops.

With my Jeep I went up and down the highway at 85 in a 65 all day long and I even went 70 in the 55 section that is our local speed trap. I did this for two years and only recieved one ticket.

Then I got the S and got three tickets in two months all by Highway Patrolmen.

I try not to give cops any reason to pull me over. I've never had a pleasant experience with a cop and I try to avoid them as much as I can.

- I rarely speed
- No tint
- Use a front license plate
- No gps or anything else stuck to the windshield
- Use a broadway convez rearview mirror and muz convex side mirror for a full view of what's behind me
- etc etc rules for CA

You got caught breaking the law. I'm not sure why the police officer is the dickhead.

Get a good traffic lawyer and most likely they can make it go away. For the future get a good radar detector V1 or 8500 and for the occasional circumstances when that fails you have the lawyer as a backup plan. I don't think they target any specific car or color. The speed trap cop is a brain dead robot going through the motions.

that's not too bad compare to my recent ticket.

I made a right turn at a local intersection without fully stop, the camera sensor caught me and fined me $380 + traffic school= $400+. When I showed up in city court ot contest it, amazing, there were lots people had the similar case.

In my township any moving violation is $400.00 plus an additional $30.00 filing fee.

One of my sons friends (17 year old) was driving home from school with two other girls in here car. Here in New Jersey until the age of 18 you can only have one non family member in your car. To make a long story short, she was speeding and the cop gave her two tickets; one for speeding and one for having two non family members in the car. The two tickets plus the filing fee ended up costing her $830.00 plus the points on her license.
