I'd prefer a Evo8 motor if it was possible!

That wouldn't be an upgrade. It's still a 2.0L 4 cylinder engine. The S2000 head flows what seems like 3x the 4G63 head.

to the above poster; if a 2JZ fits, then an RB26 will more than likely fit.

also someone mentioned a 9k redline for a Supra motor; i've seen one that revs to 10k rpms (not in a full blown race car either; supra was driving on the street).

and a 13B would not be a good idea for an engine swap. a lot of FD guys switch to something other than the 13B due to reliability.

trust me i know thats why i said they would be tricky to work on cuz so much can go wrong with those engines but there's just somthin about em i can't get over. Becides if I had enough money to do that swap I'm sure i could afford to keep it maintained properly

Hmm. I like this but at the same time I don't. As far as the handleing goes just throw a sand bag in the trunk and you will be good to go.
I wonder what sort of numbers this bad hoss is putting down and what rear end they have in the car.

Didn't read the entire thread, but am I missing something here? How much more does a 2JZ engine weigh? When the guys with turbo and supercharger kits add everything on they've added essentially another 100lbs to the engine bay. I can't imagine the 2JZ is that much more then a F20C or F22C with 100lbs.

100 pounds huh? That's like having a hot girl on board all the time. Sounds good to me.

Ok nevermind those guys are claiming

S2K motor weighs 326 lbs.
2JZGTE weighs 594 lbs.

About 270lb difference, still with turbo, front mount intercooler, piping, downpipe, etc you have to be adding another 100lbs or so for an FI s2000 engine. But lets be realistic, a swap like this is intended more for straightline performance then carving corners.

is that a stock 2JZ weight? or a single turbo one? that could account for some weight.
