Ok... I recently experienced the dreaded grind that was talked about so often on these boards. Once, shifting into second, and once shifting into fourth there was a slight grind even though the clutch was fully depressed. My questions are... is there a TSB for the issue for the '03 models? And how bad is this for the car? Should I change the tranny fluid just to be safe? The car has 700 miles on it.

 

Is it continually grinding or just a once in a while deal? I had 3rd grinding every once in a while. I made a schedule to take it in to Honda to have them look at it the next day. Same day I made the appointment, I was out with the wife the Tranny locked up and I was forced to make an emergency stop

Got my S back two weeks later and havent had a problem since. Might want to have the shop look at it. Better safe than sorry IMO.

 

make sure you fully depress the clutch before shifting into second...

 

Like I said, the clutch was fully depressed during both instances.

 

i read what you typed...i'm just saying to make sure...shift slower when shifting into second...depress...then shift.
