Default 2nd CEL

About a week after I removed my Invidia and reinstalled the stock exhaust, I got a CEL. Someone who has a computer to analyze the ECU and read diagnostic codes hooked it up to my car. It recognized the CEL but all of the individual test results were normal. We then deleted the code which triggered the CEL and it went away, but only for about four days. Now the CEL is back and I'm wondering if I should take it to the Honda dealer. Has anyone else experienced this? I know that when working on the exhaust, the catalytic converter moves around alot--could it have something to do with this? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Without the code, we really can't help you at all. With the code, maybe we can. Do you have the code that was pulled?

Since you pulled the code, why would you not post it here?

no one can help you without the code. also, no matter what that scanner read, "resetting" the code only makes it go away temporarily. codes don't go away until the problem is resolved.

i know the problem doesn't go away by just clearing the code but we did it thinking that maybe the code was there because of fidgeting with the cat while re-installing the stock exhaust, and that it was just no big deal.

any help is greatly appreciated!

That's the code for EVAP system (fuel tank).
You've got a loose or bad gas cap, bad fuel filler neck or bad purge valve.
Nothing to do with your exhaust.

thank you! that was fast...

I'm sure the gas cap is tight. could be the filler neck, because i once jacked the car up on the right side and it leaked gas from the fuel door. i'll ask my uncle about it later on, he knows everything and he's the one who gave me the scanner.

thanks again xviper! i swear you respond to every post on here...
