When I'm shifting into 2nd gear, and pop the clutch, I sometimes get wheel hop - where the car is pitching back and forth for about 2 seconds after clutch engagement. My technique is to drop the clutch on all shifts except for standing starts. During upshifts, I clutch, lift-off throttle, engage next gear, and simultaneously throttle and pop clutch. This has not happened in any of my previous vehicles but I encounter this maybe 2-3 times a week and I'm still in the breakin period.

Otherwise, S2K is a pure delight.

I had that problem too, and my friend who has a Civic Si said he had that when he was breaking in his car. We speculated that it was just the clutch breaking in, and to avoid the hop I just released the clutch really slowly. Anyone else able to give a better explanation?
