2nd Gear grind fix problem.
I just got my car back yesterday from having it serviced as recommended by the Honda 1-2 Gear Grind Bulletin.
No grinds yet...but it seems like the clutch does not grab second gear anymore.
I used to be able to chirp second like crazy...but I can't do it now...
The Honda service rep says that I have to break 2nd in a bit before it starts to tighten up...what do you think?

Let me describe the situation a little better. Yesterday after I picked the car up around noon, I drove around all day to work in 2nd gear. Later on I decided to test 2nd gear out. I revved 1st to about 8500 rpm and did the usual to try to chirp the tires. Instead, it felt like the clutch wasn't grabbing 2nd and no chirp.

YIKES! Break the new gears in first! You didn't go around ripping second when the car had 0-10 miles on it did you? You're new gears need, in my opinion, at least a tank of gas worth of miles to break in w/gentle driving.

No problem Uni. I'd save going back to the dealer for a last resort. I've found that the more miles I've put on after the fix, the better things feel. I can get the rears to scratch on quick one, two shifts anywhere above 8,100 rpm. So if things don't get better after 100-200 miles, I'd take back to the dealer; It's not the nature of the fix once broken in.
