I've had 5 people in a Honda Prelude before...about as close to a situation as this one. It was only a 20 mile drive but my muffler was scraping the pavement when we hit dips!

Even in my highschool days I would not have ridden sitting on a console on an interstate with the top down. Your friend is nuts, lol.

 

Funny how you point out that the most important part is that you all got home safe... because you certainly didn't pick the safest option to get home.
