How much do they usually run at local honda? Do you guys recommend me taking my car there to get it done? I dont really see many stuff that needs to be done for the price they charges..... Opinions and tell me what you guys did, thanks!
i dont know why you think honda charges more then then they should. honda of america subsidizes teh cost of repairs with all dealerships. labor at honda delearships are a definate bargain. no you dont need a 30,000 maintenace job done to your S2000 like your manual says. that manual is bullshit. you can go at least 60,000 before first maintenance. but be sure to add fuel stabailzer to your engine oil if you wait over 10,000 between oil changes. if you add two bottles like i do you can usually wait 15,000 between oil changes. but def dont go over 60,000 between maintence.

Hmmm...not too sure about those recommendations. I agree that you can go longer than 3K miles between oil changes if you're using a high-quality synthetic, but you still need to change your filter every 5K miles. And I wouldn't go more than 7500 miles between oil changes, even with a good synthetic. And I don't know what this "fuel stabilizer" is that you're talking about. Honda warns against various additives to its engines.

As for the other fluid changes, Road Rage has given many good reasons why you should change your tranny and diff fluids, and at certain intervals. So go for it now!

You don't have to do a valve adjustement, but it may be a good idea to do at this point if you think you need it. Many other owners have done it before the 105K mile interval with good results. As many have found that their valves were off spec.
