Personally I think that buying a car in it's first year is becoming a beta tester for the manufacturer. Give it a year, read the forums and get to know the vehicle first. I'ts what I did with the S2000. Heck, I've got one on order and I still haven't test driven one. The 350Z looks interesting and if it turns out to be as good as they say, I'll definitely be trading the S on one of those.

[B]Hey guys, I am a real fan of the S2K, and was DEFINITELY POSITIVELY SURE I wanted one until I saw the 350Z and the price tag.

It's a larger car with more HP, and only 300 lbs or so more weight than the S2K...

How is the 350z more practical? It's a 2 seater, sure it may have more storeage room but by the looks of it not much. As an example 4 years ago there is no way I would have considered a 2 seater, I had to have at least four seats and reasonable cargo area. Now my M3 will suffice so I can buy anything regardless of seating or cargo. The mustang still has a back seat and reasanable trunk along with being heavily rebated - when I test drove one recently they were willing to let a fully optioned one go for about 21K.

Also, if performance is what it's all about, who cares how many 350z's or whatever are out there - bet the track edition doesn't sell any more than the S2000.

Bullish =

I own an S2000 and have pre-ordered a 350Z perforance model at MSRP.

I think the Z, like the S, will be a big bang for the buck.

I don't know your age or for sure what you are looking for but there are some very obvious differences, mainly roadster and coupe.

If you are looking for a "drivers car" that is a whale of a lot of fun buy the S. You will not regret it.

If you just want a perforance car that will be better than the average, get the Z.
