Ya I need to see, they didnt give me a price on the car and my trade in, all they said was 0 down and you can keep your same payments. Now my interest rate is high at 11.2% and my payoff is 19.5 approx. I think my car is worth prolly 26k or so, despite the gash i have in the bumper now, which they will have to replace. The S was listed at 29k. I know they are still making money off me, but how much more could I make them come down. I need to get more detail from them in the mourning to see exactly whats going on. The way I see it, I can have a newer car with 20k less miles for the same price as mine. Both cars are worth about the same, give or take a few hundred dollars.

How long u been paying for the track z?
If it's over a year your credit rating should be better and the rate should be around 8% at least.

The way I did the math, tell me if this seems right. The car is at 29k. They give me 28k for mine and finance rate is a little under 8.5% comes to what they are offering, or what I am paying now for the car. Now the way I see it its prolly better if my principle is about the same and my interest rate is a little higher like in this case. So if I want to pay off the car in a whole lump sum it won't loose me money. or do you think higher principal and lower rate is better way to look at it?

Sounds like a "really" good deal. Are they offering any kind of warrantee with the S2000? I realize that the S is still under Honda's factory warrantee but if it's been abused and the engine or something craps out on you, what kind of hassles will you have getting Honda to cover it? OTOH, mayby the dealer you're talking to gave too much for the car and is having troubles moving it. They may "think" they'll have an easier time moving the 350Z. If I were in your shoes, I'd definitely be looking into this deal but I'd also take "every" precaution to verify that the S2000 is sound.

Sorry if I'm sounding paranoid here but an even swap between two car of the same year model with almost 20k difference in mileage is coming dangerously close to the "too good to be true" catagory. Good luck on this one and let us know how it goes!

Drive Safe,
Steve R.
