350z Vs S2000
The Z corners like a school bus full of bricks.
Nothing in our price range is more of a pure sport car than the S:
Rear wheel drive
50/50 weight distribution
No traction control
No power steering (electric assist)
Simplistic interior
Shitty sound system (listen to the engine people!)
Ragtop (not hard top that fills the trunk)
Wider rear tires
The list goes on.....

I have a 350Z and my roomate just got an 02' S2k. I love it and will post pics of both of the cars soon.
As far as the "nothing in our price range is more of a pure sports car" comment....
Also with the cornering comments....I just hate when people are ignorant.
They are two very different cars that are hard to compare.
My PERSONAL review is that the S2000 is a much more acute handler. I also noticed that it is more likely to break its back end loose during hard cornering than the Z. (may be since I am not as used to taking high speed corners with the S)
Getting used to the lack of torque is hard for me when trying to power out of an apex. The scream of the VTEC and the 9K redline are heavenly to me. I cant believe how much the engine lets you wind it out.
Overall I can't say that one is "better" but that both are great cars. As far as straight line acceleration I have to give the nod to my Z> Especially at highway speeds where I am convied I would pull Several car lengths.
I still have to get used to launching the S since the dumping the clutch at 2500 technique I use with my Z does not do anything for this car. I feel like I have to take it up to V-TEC land and then dump the clutch but am scared that I will f*ck my roomates tranny/clutch up.

Check the rear toe adjustments on the Z rear. Most manufacturers try to adjust things back there to cloud its short comings. Not that it may be true or nothing just heard about it and also heard about it on my cobra. Moved the rear toe to correct level on my cobra and what a difference. Cornered better but the rear wanted to come out a little more. Wow what a cloud from the factory. They do it alot with rear drive cars. Please chime in a say I am wrong anybody but I don't think I am.

Thanks...but I feel the S2k wanting to break loose more than the Z. I just feel like the S2K is more nimble and sharp but also more unstable.
I will try to get more used to cornering in S and I will also look into that adjustment for the Z.

well haveing owned both cars, had the Z for a year and the S now for a few months, i can agree with enthuziast. These 2 cars are really different animals. The Z was a lot more stable at high speeds and seems to pull a lot better after 90. However the car did feel heavier and was not as precise as the S. The S to me is a more enjoyable car to drive due to it being a vert and it feels very close to a raw sports car. Its a better car to zip around in. Unforuntely my Z had some issues so it was the main reason why I traded her in. The one thing i do miss about her is her lovely Brembo Brakes and volk wheels. I had the Track Edition and it wa gorgeous. Although my s will get there when i get her new rims and springs. Maybe some nice stoptechs as well
