Raced one. Took him about about half a car length.
They are quick, but you got the top end.

S2000 is purest sports car that only comes in standard gear box.

Z? What a mut! Designed by Indian, engine made by French and manufactured by Japanese. Drove once and that was enough for me. Felt so unconnected and heavy compared to S2000.

Then again, to each of his own I guess.

I get the same with my S, everyone I mean everyone comments on my S, its crazy because a few months back I owned a beautiful 1995 300zxTT 450HP+. That Z looked better and more agreesive than the new Z (big debate 300zxTT owners vs 350z n/a). The S2k is just plane sexy. I don't race, but I keep reading people saying that the 350z is faster than the S2k? Not to magazine race...but pretty much every car magazine out there has the s2k beating the Z in 0-60 and 1/4 times. Even RT which is notoriously bad at times has the s2k at 14.2 and 0-60 5.5 while the Z was 14.4 or 14.5. In the end it comes down to drivers experiance. All I gotta say is the s2k is one fun car to drive in.

Both cars get looks, both cars are fun to drive, just in different ways. It's really a matter of preference.
My best friend got a Z, it's a great car!

But I just LOVE the S to death, for ME it's better, but that's for me. I wouldn't go around calling it a pig, or a POS, or anything like that. People on this board also get all pissy and call people ignorant who attack our car on other forums (a Camaro forum recently, an MR2 forum a while back) But then they go make ignorant comments on this one. Let's look at each car for what it is and what it's supposed to be. They're both good cars, both SPORTS cars, they just fill slightly different niches!!

I love the S b/c

PIG=heavy. It wasn't meant to be derogatory. It's just a fact. When the lightest vesion is 3225lbs. and they just go up from there, than I think pig is appropriate.

And I guess the S will be a pig compared to the Elise...

No, the S2000 is well proportioned. The Elise is anorexic.

"When the lightest vesion is 3225lbs."

3,168 pounds thank you very much ( Enthus. ) And mines a good 30 pounds lighter. So 300 pounds heavier then the s2k.

Yeah its heavier, but it is NOT a pig. And the weight can not be felt as much as other cars weighing as much. I'd love it if my car weighed in at less then 3,000.. oh well...

"That Z looked better and more agreesive than the new Z" I guess styling is all opinion. I think my Z33 looks better then any Z32 ever has. But thats me. ( 19 inch volks, 6 pounds ighter then stock, each. The car is lowered a little over an inch, no more front badge, clears, ect. Looks orgasmic to me ) No, those arnt all my mods...
