4.77 will only put you 200-300 rpms higher than 4.56 when you're cruising on the highway.

The rpm difference is negligible.

Lots of egregious whine from my 1st gen Rick's prepared 4.56/Comptech diff. I don't particularly mind, but it's def LOUD.

i would love to take advantage of this mod for my ap2 but ive heard horror stories about the reliability of this mod. anybody want to chime in?

What have you heard?

See above, Nate03 has an AP2 and has gears. Also he has had them for some time too.

that sucks... unless i guess you had them drop the diff. for you also. i dropped my diff. myself and called around and most places wanted around $250 to install the gears..
