Default 4.57 Trap speeds.

With all the people here that have 4.57 im suprised I didnt find anything about 1/4 times/ trap speeds. I'm just wondering how big of a diffrence it traps from the stock trap at around 100 mph with a good driver.

By no means am I a 1/4 mile fan, I just want to get a feel for the difference over stock. I prefer a highway run more.

How much more MPH should you expect from 4.57's

Hopefully Wisconsins2k will chime in.

one guy got 13.6@103 on his first try. 3mph doesn't sound like a lot, but it is.

103-104 at the best I think.

A local owner around here who hardly ever posts has acheived a 13.4@104 so far with just 4.57 gears and intake.

i've made many freeway runs against stock S2000's starting as high as 80mph. starting at 75 in 4th gear, I was able to put about 1-2 cars on a stock S2000 to 120 or so.

we let off. if we'd kept going i'd have kept pulling.

the gearing "advantage" disappears above 105 (for example, if you started a race at 105mph and went to top speed, you'd remain pretty much even)

however, since i already had been accelerating faster, that would have just continued to top speed. which is about 150-155 on an ap1 with 4.57 gears. ironically enough, this is also the top speed for the stock car since it's drag limited.

Wow, 3-4mph is a lot. Considering you're flying by at 100+mph at the end and you're accelerating slowly, getting that last 3 in before the 1/4 is good!!!

I would buy gears tomorrow if I wasn't sitting at 5000 rpm on the freeway everyday!

my highway went down from 32mpg on long trips to about 29mpg.

my city went up, so overall, the balance went up. before, on average, i got about 22-23mpg. now I get 25-27mpg.

At 80mph you will be at 5000rpm on the freeway. FYI, this is only 500rpm over stock.
