Default 4.57R, performance changes

how does the 4.57R affect the 0-60 mph time? and 1/4 mile time? on NA setup?

the quarter time is said to be about a half second better.

if you're planning on this for your ap2, keep in mind that you finish the 1/4 mile now at the end of 4th.. .gears any shorter would require a 5th gear shift, and the addittional time it takes to shift may actually make your 1/4 miles time worse.

yea ive been giving gears alot of thought lately. i'd be curious to see if an ap2 with a lot of work done needs a 5th gear shift. say an ap2 with intake, tb, header, test pipe, exhaust.. only then may a gear be worthwhile because if you already have a 5th gear shift because of the added power, increasing the time you're in 5th won't hurt as much as the time it takes to shift another gear.

This is the 2nd time you've made such a statement in the 4 days you've been here. So, i'll tell you the same thing I told you last time, which you are going to learn very quickly here.

the ap2 doesn't pull any harder than the ap1. they both run the same in the 1/4 mile, and for argument's sake are the same speed. anyone who says otherwise has no idea what they're talking about.

I've had a 13.6 so far (with less than decent 60' times). I have a friend who had a 13.3. twice.

No one can give you 0-60 data because no one has really tried to accurately measure it. (ie using an accelerometer while at the track to verify accuracy)
