Is 4.77 a Honda OEM part? What Car?

Well, not really. Actually the 4.10 gear is not really a Honda part either. I am not sure who did the devlopment on these parts, but I have heard Mazda mentioned several times.
There is the 4.10 4.44 and 4.77 all from the same manufacture (whoever that was originally.) I don't know if any Honda that came from the factory with the 4.44 or the 4.77.
The 4.77 was supposedly used by Kia in the front diff of one of their AWD SUVs. There was a thread about it in S2000 Talk entitled something like "the truth about the 4.44 and 4.77." Try some searches and you will find all the info you are looking for.
The 4.57 gearset was developed through Richmond gear. They are custom made for the S2000 specifically and feature FAR stronger parts than the OEM and equivalent pieces.
Hope that helped.

This is the difference between the OEM 4,10 and Richmond pinion.
7 teeth Richmond 4,57 < vs > 10 teeth OEM 4,10
