Default 40 point inspection

Anyone taken their car in for the free 40 point inspection at their Honda dealer? Is it worth the time?

For most of us by the time we drive the car to honda dealer and wait around we could have done the inspection and had lunch. Im kinda underimpressed by my local dealer.

Waist of time. 40point inspection is like checking all the fluids door hinges, roof latches, locks, hood latch and then they say its done

You probably do close to that everyday without even thinking about it

Hi there,
I went to Honda for the 40-point inspection and it went fine for me. My car checked out perfectly and the service was friendly. It took a little over an hour and was worth the time to me since I recently bought my S2000 and didn't get it thoroughly inspected yet.

One side note... I've heard a lot about valve adjustments on this forum as a good precautionary measure to take. So, I asked the mechanic if they do them and the guy looked at me funny. He said that they're unnecessary on newer cars unless you hear a weird noise. What do you guys think?
