Counter sunk, does anyone have a pic of exactly what the have in mind, of having the stock shiftknob counter sunk.

Don't have a pic, but imagine trying to keep the length of the overall shifting mechanism as close to the length of the bare shifter rod. Instead of the threads of the knob being at the bottom of the knob, have them located up inside the knob (countersunk) so that the knob sits lower on the rod.

Normally I've heard the term "countersunk" used to describe the use of a special "countersink" drill bit, which makes shallow but wide holes in wood so that the head of screws going in sit flush with the wood's surface.

Oh and hey, I want one too.
