70k Miles... What service should I do on my S?
Have you checked your clutch fluid recently? I just changed mine and made a huge difference in shifting.... Much smoother now.
With spark plugs I would just go with OEM. Others have had problems with anything else.
I used Honda MTF for the tranny and has been fine.
For the diff I used Mobil 1. Billman also recommends it so it must be good stuff.
All this stuff is easy to do yourself so don't waste any money paying others to do it. Take your time using the DIY on here as guides. Will make your life much easier

Yes, what others have recommended, plus brake fluid change. So its:
- Diff fluid (every 15K - do it now if you don't know when it was last done)
- Trans fluid (every 30K - do it now if you don't know when it was last done)
- oil change (actually you should have done this before winter storage, if it was at all near due, same with other fluids mentioned above)
- plugs
- clutch fluid (when you see how black and nasty yours looks, you won't hesitate to do this one, change it regularly from now on)
- brake fluid (you should be doing this like every 2 years - look up the Billman procedure for bleeding the brakes)
- valve adjust (don't screw this up, know what you are doing or get someone that does)
- inspect belt (I wouldn't change unless it shows signs of wear/age)
The timing chain tensioner, I wouldn't change until you have a symptom (hear noise), but then change it right away. Best to have one on hand, so order it now. Get the modified one from Billman, not the factory Honda one, which will just go bad again.
Thats right, the guy others here told you to go visit for service not only knows more about S2K than anyone working at a dealer, he redesigns S2K components that Honda engineers didn't get right the first time. He also revises their service procedures when he discoveres issues. He has both the theoretical understanding and practical experience, and you can pay him to fix your car, and find issues no one else would ever even know to look for, let alone find. So its worth planning a trip at some point when you have something more compliated than this routine maintenance.
