Guys help me understand this. My brochure from America Honda Motor Co. Inc. says the S2000 redlines at 9000. What do you guys think? I only have an RSX so please don't flame me with Import Tuner jokes and the such, I know your car is better. Thanks!

Or did Honda make one S2k that did not go to 9000 rpm?

Hmmm... Im going to quote you something from my handy S2000 sales booklet they sent me about a year ago.

" High- Performance technology usually trickles down from racing cars to street cars, with the S2000, there was a flood. Its 2.0 liter 16-valve VTEC engine redlines at an incredible 9000 rpm"........and it goes on and on.

Has Honda not been practicing truth-in-advertising? I am confused now

Yeah, it's really no big deal it's just that its for sale on Ebay and it looked wierd. I have never heard anyone speak of a 8900 redline. It's always everyone saying how cool it is to have a 9k redline. There is a clear picture of the tach in the brochure and the red starts at 9k so who knows, just looked funny.
